Katavolos House
Katavolos House is located in the hillside enclave of Katavolos set above Nisaki on the north eastern corner of Corfu. Set 200m up, the house is reached by a steep and windy mountain road. This has recently been fully relaid and takes approximately 3 minutes from the main road to reach the house. Car Hire is essential and the larger car hire companies are all available at the airport. Alternatively, the management team can assist with rental cars so please don’t hesitate to ask for more information.
Check in at the villa is from 4pm and check out is 10am on your day of departure.
A HOUSE MADE FOR YOU
The house is managed day to day in Corfu by our very own guardian angel, Lorraine. Lorraine will be more than happy to arrange shopping, food preparation or organise car rentals, day trips etc for you. You will be introduced to Lorraine via email on the final payment of your holiday for you to organize any of these with her directly. Our wonderful maid works at the house 3 hours a day 6 days a week. She makes sure that the house is always spotless so you can really enjoy your holiday! Please note that wild cats are a big part of mountain life on the island and we do sometimes have some friendly local cats coming to say hello. They can be found lounging on the walls or around the garden regularly and so this should be noted for anyone with a cat allergy.
TRANSPORTATION
Car Hire and transportation can be arranged. There is a meet and greet service at the house up to 8pm on arrival day.
EATING IN
Maid and Lorraine will be more than happy to prepare meals for you with prior notice. Food shopping can also be arranged for you with Lorraine able to supply wonderful fresh fish etc from the markets in Corfu Town.
The views as one arrives are breathtaking, and as you walk in it has the most wonderful feel of a house that is built for special people to have a very peaceful and extremely comforable rest.
We spent a phenomenal extended weekend break with friends at the breathtaking Katavolos House - our first time on Corfu - and it was absolutely magical. From the morning call - and cooked breakfast - by Aspa, the housekeeper and several days spent by the infinity pool with views of Corfu town, to sundowners on the terrace and dining under the centuries old Venetian olive tree - Katavalos House has it all. A home away from home on a hillside with staggering sea views. The worse view was in the rear view mirror when we left - but at least our memories are in glorious technicolor!
